Reflexology deals with the principle that the feet
and hands are a 'miniature-map' of the entire body where all organs,
glands and body parts are represented as 'reflex areas'.
The body's natural state of healthy balance relies on a complex,
interdependent system of organs, glands, nerves, chemicals etc all
working together - if one of these elements is misaligned as a result
of stress, illness, injury or other physical or emotional influences,
the effects can be felt throughout the entire body and reflected
in the feet and hands.
Reflexology can detect these imbalances and, through a method of
applying micro-pressure to the reflex areas with the thumbs and
fingers, can ease out any congestion or pain that may be manifesting
and help the body to return to an optimal state. Reflexology works
on the principal that each part reflects the whole, that is each
cell reflects the whole so using the feet and hands to stimulate
the rest has an effect on the whole body. It is a wonderfully rejuvenating
but extremely relaxing treatment that can renew the body’s
energy even after just one session.
Juanita is passionate about Reflexology, as it
gives one the much-needed chance to take quality time out, letting
one’s body and soul relax and recuperate and increase one’s
own awareness and energy levels. Who says medicine needs to be bitter...overall
health benefits and such pampering all in one package... what bliss!
Juanita holds a diploma in Reflexology and has been practicing Reflexology
for six years. She also keeps her skill up to date, having further
qualifications in Chinese Reflexology, Maternity Reflexology, Head
& Shoulder Massage, and Reiki. Juanita gets great satisfaction
from other people benefiting from Reflexology. Clients say they
miss her when they are on holiday, let alone when she is. Though
not always quantitative, clients say it makes a great difference
to their lives, sometimes through less headaches, better sleep or
just uplifting their energy and their spirits.
